International Women's Day, which falls on March 8th every year, is a day to celebrate the achievements of women across the globe and to fight for equity and fairness for all women. As a small, local, and sustainable fashion brand run and led by a female team, Bamboo Body is proud to join in this celebration.

Bamboo Body was established in 2005 by sisters Amanda and Elouise. Bamboo Body has since expanded rapidly and now offers a vast collection of bamboo clothing for women, men and children, all designed in Australia. Inclusivity and diversity is built into the Bamboo Body brand and we are continually learning and adjusting everyday.

We are proud to be part of a female owned and managed team, and we believe that women have a crucial voice in working towards a more sustainable and equitable future. We are inspired by the women who have come before us and who continue to fight for gender equality, and we are committed to doing our part to create a better world for all women.

This International Women's Day, we want to share the names and faces behind our team, as we work and advocate for a brand that we all believe in. We also want to encourage everyone to support women-owned businesses and thank the women who are paving the way for a better future.

Describe your personal style in 3 words: I think I love to dopamine dress. I like to be comfortable but with a bit of fun somewhere, usually that's with colour, patterns or a puffy sleeve!

What is one fact about you: The coolest thing I've ever done was hike to Everest Base Camp, it was beautiful.

What do you do to relax: Beach swims, painting or cuddles on the couch with my dog and a tv show.

What is your favourite Bamboo Body piece? Relax Boatneck or Shorter Tee! Don't make me choose.

Describe your personal style in 3 words: Tailored, Neutral, often Androgynous.

What is one fact about you: I have the same name as a certain British celebrity, and when I lived in London in 2017 my name was on every single red bus.

What do you do to relax: Relax?! Sorry, don't know her. However, when I am starting to feel a little too burnt out, I like to rewatch some of my favourite Y2K shows - i'm a sucker for nostalgia.

What is your favourite Bamboo Body piece? I love the Eva Pant in Black as it is perfect for every occasion.

Describe your personal style in 3 words: Comfort, Active, Boho.

What is one fact about you: I love horror movies and true crime documentaries.

What do you do to relax: I have two young boys so I don't get too much time to relax, but I love days at the beach with family and friends.
