Re-wearing the Ada Boatneck

Hello! It’s Elouise here, the GM of Bamboo Body. This week I am continuing the re-wearing challenge! Daria started the challenge earlier this year by wearing the Cate Skirt every day for a week. She thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and discussed all the benefits she experienced through wearing and re-wearing one item for the whole week. You can read about it here.

I have chosen the Ada Boatneck Top for the re-wear challenge. I already wear and re-wear the Ada Boatneck every week, so this challenge has hardly been a challenge for me!  Regardless of the season or the event, the Ada Boatneck is always appropriate. It usually plays the support act, blending seamlessly with any outfit.

This week I wore white but I usually rotate through a few different colours including black, burgundy, stripe and navy.

Peggy Pants in dark navy with the Everyday Cardi in dark navy.

The Ada Boatneck is the perfect support act to any corporate ensemble and looks elegant peeking from underneath a blazer, suit jacket or in this case the Everyday Cardi.

Accessories include a simple black heel and silver necklace.

TUESDAY

Photoshoot Day

Peggy Pants in dark navy.

Today we are shooting the BB Spring Summer collection, an exciting day!  Shoot days are very busy and I am on my feet all day. It is important to feel comfortable and unrestricted and to be prepared for changing weather and temperatures. My go-to for photoshoot day is always an Ada and often the Peggy Pants.  I absolutely love my new dark navy Peggy Pants so I was keen to wear these again today. Paired back with white sneakers they have a much more causal look and feel.

WEDNESDAY

Yoga Class

Soft Leggings in black and Cocoon Cardi in storm

After a busy shoot day, a yoga class helps to stretch out the body and recalibrate. I wore the Ada with Soft Leggings in black. I added a Cocoon Cardi for extra warmth and coverage for before and after class.

THURSDAY

Work Day

Eva Pants in dark olive and Travel Wrap in Cacao.

Today I have warmed up the colour palette by including dark olive and cacao. The Eva Pants have a wide leg and pairing back with a fitted style like the Ada Boatneck adds balance to the outfit.

Accessories include a dark coloured heel and simple gold earrings

FRIDAY

Work and Team Lunch

Midi Skirt in magenta.

The sun is out and there is a touch of spring in the air. Today I wore a really fun combination of colours. The Midi Skirt is definitely one of my favourites. I think most of the BB team expected my every day challenge would be focused on the Midi Skirt. I wear it in many colours and today I added a bright splash of magenta.  I paired back with green shoes and a colourful necklace to tie it all together.

SATURDAY

Soccer mum

With denim and sneakers

You never know what the weather will be like at soccer. I often leave the house with a puffer jacket, an umbrella, a hat and sunglasses. Layering clothing is essential! The Ada provides excellent sun protection if the sun unexpectedly comes out, and warmth as a layering piece on colder days. It also looks pretty good under the grounds duty vest!

So that’s it! A week with the Ada Boatneck. The weather this week has been very changeable so the Ada was an excellent trans-seasonal choice. As the weather warms up I will continue wearing the Ada and pair it back with skirts and shorts. It is an effortless option through all the seasons.

My usual style is minimal, feminine and / or outdoorsy. I am a cool winter colour season and I am petite height at 157cm / 5’2”. I am wearing size XS
